I left him several messages, but he didn't reply at all. My immediate thought was that he might have gotten caught or shut down (this industry is high-risk, after all, and many top-tier sellers just vanish overnight...). Hoping to track him down, I searched for his name on Xiaohongshu (also known as RED, China's equivalent of Instagram/Pinterest). That’s when the scammer appeared.

I found an account named "Baiyun HaoHao's Shop" and added his WeChat. His photo album was immaculate—the pictures were high-definition, elegant, and completely lacked that cheap, messy vibe you usually see from typical wholesale stalls. At this point, I didn't suspect a single thing. I asked him for a Chanel Classic Flap 25 (Small) in black caviar with gold hardware and transferred 1,800 RMB directly via Alipay.

When the package arrived, I was completely speechless.

First of all, the smell was overwhelming—honestly, it was pungent. Then, the interior heat stamp font was completely wrong, the hologram/serial sticker was blurry and incorrect, and the hardware felt light and cheap. The bag was a total "bait-and-switch" compared to the flawless photos in his album!
